Book a Mentor!

There are multiple ways that you can reach out to our mentors if you need assistance or have questions on your hack!

For simple questions or concerns,

-> Use Slack and join the need-a-mentor channel if you have not already! Then direct your questions to the channel or @ a specific mentor who you think will be able to answer your question.

-> Use Devpost to start discussions in the Discussion tab! If you think your question may be able to help other hackers, share it! We are all learning here :) Not only our mentors, but also other hackers may see your post and may be able to help answer or assist as well! We highly encourage collaboration among hackers as everyone may bring something to the table, and we are at various skill levels with different specialties.

For help on your hack or you want to show them what you've got, or maybe for a chat to get connected,

-> Reserve a time slot to meet with one of our mentors!

-> If time slots are booked to reserve with a mentor, again, feel free to use the Discussion Tab on Devpost or mention your need for assistance in our help or need-a-mentor channel. Mentors that may be available or other hackers with knowledge on your question/concern may be able to assist!

Vaishnavi (Vaishu) Kishore | 12:00pm-4:00pm ET

  • About Vaishu Kishore:
    • Current Systems Usability Engineer at GE Healthcare with an academic background in Applied Biomedical Engineering.
    • Passionate about bringing technological advancements in bioengineering to customers in a simple-to-use meaningful way.
    • Experience working with medical imaging, clinical consulting and research, and digital platforms. 
    • Current work is on the Edison Health Link platform, a digital health services platform focused on bringing users cutting edge technologies available in a single, managed environment.

Donna French | 12:00pm-5:00pm ET

  • About Donna French:
    • Former Software Develop and Team Lead with RadioShack Corporation from 1995-2017.
    • Current Senior Lecturer at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Computer Science and Engineering department.
    • Teaches Intro to Programming, Intermediate Programming, Object-Oriented Programming, and Algorithms and Data Structures.

Stefan Pascu | 1:30pm-4:00pm ET

  • About Stefan Pascu:
    • Current Senior Data Scientist at Oceaneering, extracting information and finding solutions based on large scale datasets.
    • Holds B.S and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Automation with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence, as well as Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Rolland Huie | 5:00pm-8:00pm ET

  • About Rolland Huie:
    • Current IT Coordinator for SASE overseeing strategic vision for intiatives and processes.
    • Former roles as manager of technology programs, a systems manager, content manager, website designer, a consultant, and as a trainer.
    • Holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus in biomedical instrumentation.
